HKRN Salary Structure Overview

To set wage rates for the manpower provided by HKRN to various departments, boards, corporations, and other entities, the government has decided to replace the old "DC Rate" system. The new rates, which will determine the HKRN salary for different job roles, will be called "Nigam Wage Rates."

HKRN Salary Under Various Categorization of Districts

For Nigam Wage Rates, all districts, including Chandigarh and Delhi, are divided into three categories: I, II, and III, as shown below.

Category I	Gurugram, Faridabad, Panchkula and Sonipat
	Delhi and Chandigarh- in the offices under the control of State Government which are situated in Delhi or Chandigarh.
Category II	Panipat, Jhajjar, Palwal, Karnal, Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak, Rewari, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Yamunanagar, Bhiwani & Jind
Category III	Mahendergarh, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Nuh and Charkhi Dadr

 

This classification is designed to align with urban development and impacts the HKRN salary structure:

• Category I includes districts near major capitals (Delhi, Chandigarh) or metropolitan cities (population of 10 lakh or more) or those approaching metropolitan status.
• Category II includes districts that do not fit into either Category I or III.
• Category III covers districts with a lower cost of living, affecting the HKRN salary accordingly.
